Anxiety and Fear With Self-Hypnosis

Anxiety and Fear With Self-Hypnosis

Anxiety and Fears

The Background Story

Well the times are strange and therefore strange lockdown things are happening.

I have been:

  • shredding years of old documents,
  • removing a wonky shower curtain and putting up a shower panel (why did I not do this before?);
  • old paint tins have had their lids levered open and covering marks on the wall painted over.
  • and so on.

Then there is this one new venture to complete in my 12 week lockdown

One of the Big Things on My 'To Do' List is Now Underway.

I have an online digital store where I sell hundreds of self-hypnosis audio and video downloads. Now when these were uploaded we were working at such a rate that they didn't get the time for the love and care needed to really promote the recordings well.

For each self-hypnosis product - Adam Eason wrote some background information that you can see on the digital sessions that can be downloaded. The information was put in place in a simple format and quite honestly didn't look great. My aim is to edit and format all of the products in the store.

The task is actually large and has long been on my list to do BUT as I have just said the TASK IS LARGE.

My Mental Chat

Yesterday was the day when I had a mental chat to myself and I started the renovation.

Where to start? I asked my brain

'The bundles'. said my chatback brain - (such as the Anxiety and Fear Bundle below).

The thing that struck me as I edited, sorted out the typos and formatted the look was just how informative Adam's explanations are about the hypnosis processes he has recorded .

So informative that my chatback brain said 'Keith get this information out on your blog'

That makes so much sense as I am really working at getting more people to appreciate and learn more about self-hypnosis. I am offering here the thoughts of a leading Hypnotherapist Adam Eason, who is author of the book 'The Science Of Self-Hypnosis.

ABANDON ANXIETY

It is very well documented these days...
Focusing on the breath and breathing is very important if you become anxious.

Breathing slowly and deeply activates the vagus nerve, which is the major quieting nerve of the body. This nerve helps to calm you down automatically, so if you become anxious, deep breathing can help.

In addition and as an alternative, hypnosis is a very positive way to help you conquer anxiety.

You knew I was going to say that, didn’t you?

Here, I want to share with you a very simple and incredibly powerful hypnosis session for overcoming anxiety.

If you ever get anxious, then now is the time to abandon that anxiety.

Firstly, anxiety resulting from trauma and secondly; signal anxiety, which is in effect when someone is trying to protect himself from anxiety resulting from trauma.

No matter what the theory, anxiety relates to a future time and is usually about a future situation.

It also comes from scattered attention and lack of focus.

It is the unknown what causes apprehension and anxiousness.

Living in the moment can help stop anxiety.

We deceive ourselves into thinking we can control, manipulate, or modify the future. In actuality, there are so many variables that we really can’t see all the possibilities that can occur.

In fact, worrying or being anxious causes more anxiety and may cause missing a moment that could be truly valuable.

There is a paradox to anxiety: the more you anticipate what’s going to happen, the more anxious you become.

To eliminate anxiety, becoming quiet and allowing things to happen works better than being anxious about what might happen.

Learn to give your full attention to everything you do at the moment.

By letting go of the anxiety, you conquer it.

Living in the moment does help. Since anxiety is based on the fear of a future outcome, you can learn to cope with this fear by using positive thought.

Remember: you are what you think!

Negative emotions bring negative results.

Positive emotions bring positive results, so learn to laugh at the outcome and think positive!

Yes indeed, laugh more!

DESENSITISATION

Here I offer you a process and technique that is often overlooked by many therapists yet is one of the most empirically researched and proven ways of affecting progressive change within people.

A few years ago, I had a client who was experiencing anxiety for much of each day. He came to one session with me and was shaking, I mean shaking with dread, anxiety and was in one heck of a state.

I asked him to run me through the cause of his anxiety and he explained in great detail.

His explanation was very vivid, he was almost inside of the experience while he talked about it. He was filled with tears and was sobbing in a way that made it difficult to understand what he was saying at first.

So I asked him to explain it all again.

He looked at me oddly and then proceeded to run through the entire thing again, though with no tears this time.

I told him that I was still unsure of all the details in my mind and so could he please explain it once more for me.

He looked at me as if I was being heartless and unsympathetic.

When I asked him to repeat it all a fourth time, he nearly left the room.

At the end of that explanation, he seemed bored of talking about it and was totally unaffected by explaining it all, whereas he was earlier sobbing while explaining.

I pointed this out and he realized what had gone on.

It is this process that I want to explain in more detail today and show you how to use it for some amazing effect in your life.

If you have experienced anxiety in the past, it is most likely a learned response, an old habit.

Just like any other habit, physical tension and emotional anxiety can be learned over time and become associated with certain circumstances, events or situations in your life, and it is those events that stimulate that anxiety.

Learning and Unlearning

It is a core and fundamental belief inherent within modern personal development and certainly within my consulting rooms that anything that can be learned can also be unlearned.

That is, all habits can be broken.

I am certainly not saying that it is easy to break an established habit... Unless of course, you have the right kind of help and processes at your disposal.

This process is fabulous for dissipating those unwanted feelings

Our Cat Spooky

When my wife first took in our cat Spooky because he had been abandoned by his previous owners and left without food or shelter for a long time, he mistrusted humans. He actually feared people, which we suspect was due to his poor treatment.

You see, even animals can learn to be anxious when they do not necessarily need to be.

Our own experience as well as much documented and researched evidence shows that animals can also be trained to overcome their anxieties. Spooky now loves the affections and attention of humans and loves being around people in general...

So much so that when I am working from home, he jumps all over me and my laptop to get my attention!

New Habit To Replace Old

One way to break an old habit is by replacing it with a new habit...

Anxiety and relaxation are two mutually exclusive states; they cannot dominate the same body at the same time, the stronger one tends to progressively cancel the weaker one out.

By training yourself to relax very deeply, and by facing your fears gradually and systematically, you can use the relaxation response to cancel out anxiety, in steps and stages, and replace it with feelings of calm.

All it takes is a little patience and focus.

In the example I used earlier, it happened quite quickly and immediately, however, much continuance and consistency were required over the following weeks to maintain that, and stop any sliding back into old ways.

So here I want to share with you a process known as hypnotic desensitisation which has been used successfully for over fifty years in clinical practice to help people overcome anxiety.

It is used in hypnotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and many others besides.

You'll begin by easily and simply rehearsing some basic relaxation skills and then facing your fears in the safety of whatever comfortable room or place you choose at the same time.

You just use your imagination to picture the things that you want to overcome and dissipate.

By running through such a process, you then find that the same feelings of relaxation remain with you outside in the real world when you have finished the process.

This is a marvellous process I am delighted to share with you.

PANIC FREEDOM

Wherever you are sat this very moment reading this, if I were to run into that place, clapping my hands loudly and shouting "Fire! Fire!" you may well panic and rush to save your own life.

And no doubt be irritated that I was testing my notion and subsequently smiling cheekily.

This is an expected kind of panic -- unlike the type of panic that this hypnosis session is aimed at quelling...

In my therapy rooms at the time of writing this, I have had more than the usual numbers of people panicking…

I am certain it is not actually to do with the messages we are getting from the government announcing “Don’t Panic” with regards to the seemingly devastating financial situation here in the UK at the moment -- that the media seems determined to terrify everyone about.

So what is it?
Is it that people are more self-aware?
Does our enhanced sense of self and self-consciousness make us more capable of scaring ourselves?

I have no idea, to be honest.

It has raised some fascinating thoughts and encounters recently in my therapy sessions though…

Many hypnotherapists are reluctant to interact formally with their clients while they (the client) is in hypnosis.

With this hypnosis session, I offer you a really simple technique that can be done by anyone to let go of panic…

The idea of the strategy within this hypnosis session is to identify and then to obtain information from within your unconscious mind, about each part of the panic symptom complex.

What do I mean by that?

By that, I am referring to the set of symptoms that people experience when they panic.

So this hypnosis session is going to describe for you a way in which you can have a tool immediately available to you for relieving an anxiety attack of any kind.

‘Immediately available’ sounds good, doesn’t it?

Bear in mind, you do not have to have an ongoing panic issue for this to be something you use -- it can be something you keep in your mind in case it is ever required.

I know you are going to love this session.

FEAR RELEASE

How to go into your mind and start letting go of any fears of any kind!

I went to an engagement party recently. A close friend of mine is now engaged and planning on marrying next year and had a celebratory party. It was great fun and I got to catch up with lots of old friends.

Of course, no party is complete without balloons. Some of the children were playing with balloons and I was helping them have some fun with them, not to mention tying the knots at the end of balloons that had been blown up too much. I showed a couple of kids how to rub the balloons on their heads and make it stick to the wall or ceiling with the static. It kept them amused for ages, though our hosts may have become less amused with their new wall decorations.

Balloons are such fun, aren't they?

Well, I associate them with having fun.

I am going to come back to balloons later…

I have mentioned the idea lots of times before and quoted excerpts from my favourite self-help books, such as 'The Power Of Your Subconscious Mind' by Joseph Murphy and 'As A Man Thinketh' by James Allen.

They mention that rather wonderful idea of your mind being like a rich, fertile garden.

Of course, the garden needs tending — you need to plant good healthy seeds, and if you do not take care of the garden, weeds can grow.

The thoughts you allow into your mind — especially the ones that you think of the most and focus on continually — are the fruits that are going to grow and manifest in your life… it is as simple as that.

This notion is familiar to regular readers of my ezine and I am not going to repeat it much more here.

Instead, I want us to go into the garden of our minds and do some major cultivation. This is like primo-dynamite weeding!

With this fantastic hypnosis session, I show you how to go into your mind and start letting go of any fears of any kind.

You just have a particular direction in mind as to how you are going to benefit from this hypnosis session…

By that, I mean that you should think of a specific area of your life that you may have some fears or apprehensions about.

What with the garden of your mind and lots of fun with balloons, this session is a remarkable journey!

When you have an old notion in your mind, as guided throughout the session, you then proceed to let go of what you no longer need…
A bit like popping balloons, or at least, like letting the air out of them!

It really is as simple as that with this hypnosis session — enjoy the freedom you get with this session.

I know you are going to find it as liberating as everyone else does.

FEAR INTO POWER

F.E.A.R. What a word.

Many people allow themselves to be debilitated by fear...

And they allow the fear to hold them back in many areas of life without ever even realising it...

They are scared of certain outcomes, scared of failure, scared of humiliation...

And their brain makes it go wild and fantastical and increases the fear...

With this session, I want to show you how to turn fear into power and strength.

Within the fields of modern personal development, a phenomenon known as anchors is talked about a great deal...

We have anchored responses to all sorts of things, like when we see the new trainers we bought at Christmas, we start feeling guilty for not running in them since the first week of January...

Or when we smell the coolness of the air (it has been snowing here in the UK and the freezing air has a real particular smell to it) it reminds of us when we went skiing...

Or when we see an old friend, we go all warm inside and smile or even laugh as we connect them to lots of good times in our lives...

These are all anchored responses that occur in our lives.

Many of us have even more negative anchors too...

Like guilt associated with spending time caring for oneself...
Or fear associated with approaching someone with a view to dating, or starting a relationship...

And that fear is unattractive and can be sensed and is communicated to the world and makes it even harder for us to be perceived as attractive by the people we want to.

So with this session, I want us to start turning old fears into empowerment.

You can use this for any circumstance that in the past used to make you feel fearful...

You are going to love the freedom you feel following this!

Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy Control?

Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy Control?

Google Alert Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy

Every morning I get a set of Google Alerts. You can get emails when new results for a topic show up in Google Search. For example, you can get info about news, products, or mentions of your name.

A couple of my alerts are hypnosis and hypnotherapy this morning.

An alert came in under hypnosis which is the video I have embedded in this post.

When I was looking for this  YouTube video there had already been 137,306 views.

Now the video is edited and stage managed and you can see from the comments underneath that many people think it is fake.

I am not the best person to judge that but there are hypnotherapists and hypnotists who could comment and I hope they will.

Whatever the situation this is the sort of clip that gives people their impressions and perceptions about hypnosis and that is a shame.

Now here is another Google alert I received under category hypnotherapy.

This blog post which is well researched is by a freelance writer.  You can find the complete blog post at: https://www.self.com/story/hypnosis-for-skin

I love the title of this blog post written by Sarah Ban

I Tried Hypnosis for Insomnia. Then My Skin Cleared Up.
I don’t understand it, either, but I’m not complaining.

How often have I seen that.

So many people who have used hypnosis will say the same thing. “I don’t know how it worked – but it did.”

Adam Eason my hypnotherapist friend was amazed when he was treated for his psoriasis by a clinical hypnotherapist.

He was completely surprised by the effect on his skin as he had tried everything else prescribed.

That is in fact what led Adam to learn about hypnosis and start his hypnotherapy career.

Back to Sarah’s article…

The blog post by Sarah is well worth reading and she points out various studies and research in the field.

She finishes her blog post:

Whether or not I can explain how my skin got better, I’m pretty positive that my hypnosis sessions had something to do with it.

Whichever confounding variable was responsible for the clearer skin I saw after my hypnotherapy sessions (stress reduction, better sleep, placebo effect, or all of the above), I’m just thrilled to have seen results at all.

I was finally able to get my racing mind under control with the help of hypnosis. That meant I went from getting maybe two measly hours of sleep a night to a solid eight hours, which is a massive improvement for me. When I’m well-rested during the day, I’m more equipped to handle hectic situations, which means my stress levels are more under control, and I’m pretty sure that’s resulting in a newly clear complexion. My skin still breaks out when I’m frazzled, but it seems a lot happier overall. And so am I.

It is very easy to get wrong impressions about hypnosis.  The showmen want to make it all look mystical and unreal.

I have videoed many courses where hypnotherapists were being trained.  Many wonderful people with a real desire to help people with annoying behaviours, habits, addictions, pain, self-esteem and so on.

The problem for them especially in their early days is convincing many people out there who have very little knowledge about the therapy.

Ten years ago I was among those who knew very little about hypnosis.

Here are a few facts about hypnosis.

Stage Hypnosis:

This is a difficult one for clinical hypnotherapists to deal with. The on stage guys are clever and use hypnosis and distraction techniques well.

The people selected to go on stage and take part are actually expecting an outcome. They are more prepared than they believe to respond and play the part.

The thing to realise is that they are willingly being led and are NOT really under the control of the hypnotist.

I personally love Derren Brown who actually calls himself a mentalist and illusionist. That is much better title although other people talk about him being a hypnotist.  He often will show at the end of his performance how he has been misleading the audience.  He will show video and you can see the clever language that is feeding the imaginations of those being manipulated.

Myths and Mystery and Bad Journalism

Oh dear I don’t know what to say about this one.

There are TV shows and humour “look into my eyes, look into my eyes” and all of that nonsense.

There are journalists who write for a living who are writing err … garbage!!

There are exceptions like Sarah Bar above who is giving a sensible researched article.

Here is a blog by Adam Eason entitled “The Hypnotist Thief? Was It Actually Hypnosis Used? Or Was It Lazy Sensationalist Journalist”

Here is a short passage.

Firstly, the Telegraph, which you’d expect to have a more sober perspective on the story carries the headline: ‘Hypnotist thief puts shopkeeper in trance before robbing him’ The hypnosis article can be found here if you’d like to read it.
Before I do anything else, let me address the fact that the Telegraph uses the word ‘Trance’ in the title of their article and then assumes that trance and hypnosis are the same thing. They are not.

Hypnotism Is Not A Hypnotist/Hypnotherapist Taking Control

The problem, of course, lies in the way hypnosis is presented again and again by the media, having to explain to clients over and over that hypnosis is something THEY do sometimes feel like a losing battle.
Self-Hypnosis is a skill that can be learned by anyone. Yes it is a learned SKILL

To Take Control Issue Further – For My Christian Friends.

I wrote about this a long time ago in 2008 but I won’t send you to that post.

What I will do in fact is update that blog though as there are some new links to add.

Let Me Rant a Bit – Which Is Not My Usual Style …

(you will see that this post is rather sombre for me – but I so want you all to know more about the subject before criticising)

The usual thing is that people think they know about something without having ever studied the subject at all – they simply have an opinion based simply on intuition, gossip or whatever.

Several of my church friends have questioned my interest in what they describe as taking control of someones mind and over somebody’s thinking?

What? …  WHAT?

I have videoed and sat through hundreds of hours of clinical hypnotherapy and cognitive bahavioural therapy training – AND it is NOT taking control of the clients mind.

If you think there is exasperation showing – you are right!

STOP!!

Let me bow out.

Really I am wise to leave this to somebody qualified to talk about it.

I am no fool.

Here is a YouTube video – well audio really with a ridiculously strange splash screen – about Hypnosis and Christianity. This is a video interview with Rev Dr Scot Giles. This is about his work using hypnosis with cancer patients.

The talk therapies offer help harmlessly.  There is a lot of research about the effectiveness of many interventions – for example pain relief.  The weakness is that there much more research needed.

So What About Psychiatry?

The very same people that object to hypnosis therapy WILL accept and endorse psychiatrists offering treatments and medication.

From my young nursing days back in the 60’s I had the horror of working with a team giving Electro-Convulsive Therapy (ECT).  Notice my strong word horror.  I could not believe what I was witnessing.  I will say no more about that as it was a long time ago and I may exaggerate.

I was shocked (there’s a pun) when I found out recently that this therapy was in growing use again.

Here is a piece from an article in The Guardian – Electro-Convulsive therapy on the rise again in England

“The figures, obtained through freedom of information requests, show that despite being a crude, controversial treatment, which fell sharply out of favour around the turn of the millennium, ECT is enjoying a revival.

The procedure involves anaesthetising the patient and passing electricity through the brain to induce seizure. Despite ghoulish depictions in popular culture and a marked lack of science explaining how and why it works, treatments can prove effective. Patient stories range from life-changing benefits to tales of lives being ruined.”

Hypnotherapists are not wanting to get inside your head and control you.  There intention is for their clients to learn the skills of focused imagination and suggesting to themselves the changes they want to make.  That is my simple interpretation.   Don’t let me tell you though.  Better to learn directly from a hypnotherapy practitioner.  I can put you in touch with the best.

What If Hypnotherapists Could Get To Control You?

I remember when I first met Adam, the guy who introduced me to hypnotherapy.

He was introducing his business in a breakfast BNI meeting.  At each BNI meeting you were allowed 60 seconds to tell a story about your business.  A bit like twitter really.

Adam was charismatic and I looked forward to his spot.

One of his minute stories was about hypnotherapists taking control of your mind.

Adam asked us “Why would I be standing up there at 7am to get some new business if I really could use magical hypnosis skills to control somebody?  No!  Surely I would simply make an appointment with my bank manager and get him to write me out a million pound cheque.

Of Course There Are So Many More Question – Another Day

There are so many other questions.

  • What does being hypnotised feel like?
  • Do I go to sleep?
  • Is it like being in the zone – like sportmen?

I really do want you to find out.   So more to follow.

Obesity – The Answer Is With You

Obesity – The Answer Is With You

Obesity and Government Action

There has been a lot of reporting today here in the UK all about a new sugar tax.  It is on drinks that have a high level of sugar in them.  For example a litre of Coca Cola will cost 24p (approx 30 cents).

Caroline Cerny from the Obesity Health Alliance of charities says that says “This alone won’t be enough to tackle rising obesity levels and that we need the government to take further action.

The reason  for her comments is because of the alarming figures from our NHS.  (This is all there data so of course this is UK related but please add comments below about your countries.)

Twice as many patients are admitted to hospital with problems related to obesity as four years ago.

Stop – and look at that again.  What a rapid rate of change.

In 2016-17 about 617.000 hospital admissions were caused at least in part by obesity, up 18% in a year and NINE times higher than a decade ago.

STOP again.  I am just ramming those figures in.  They are shocking.

A total of 10.705 admissions were primarily the result of obesity, about two thirds of them for weight loss surgery. This is up from 3,800 a decade ago.  The rest of the admissions were for conditions that obesity makes worse such as joint problems and heart attacks.

Obesity has been an issue for me – well since I was forty

I was looking this morning for a picture of me just before I was forty playing table tennis.  I was on holiday and wearing only my shorts.  I couldn’t find the picture unfortunately – (you are probably disappointed).

Up until that age I had no weight issue at all.

Suddenly An Issue

Then bang!!  I put on weight.

I went through that period (well quite a few years) where I would use some latest faddy diet, lose weight and go through the yo-yo process over and over again.

I am currently about 12 stone but I got up to regularly 15 stone.

Here’s an old belt that shows the battle.

old belt

Here’s a picture that has been added to a wall in our home.  I did not choose this picture and the detailed image below will show you why.

family picture

Here is the reason I would like this picture removed.

Obesity on show

I was NOT happy with constant and continual up down of battling with this problem.

Diets were not the answer.

This photo is about eight years old.

I Was Fedup With My Weight – What Would Be Permanent?

At that time I was learning about hypnosis by working together with Adam Eason producing audios and videos about hypnotherapeutic techniques.    Adam had in fact done a lot of face to face work as well as his producing his self-hypnosis products.

Not hard for me then to get to work on my weight problem.

The programme I used at the time was called ‘Think Yourself Thin’ and I set about using this set of audio products.

There were hypnosis sessions within the package but alongside that there were narrative files, workbooks etc.

I analysed everything and the situation was this.

There is one irrefutable fact – The amount of food / drinks / cals put into your body is measurable and if you put in more than your body needs to function for the physical you will put on weight.

Maths Formula

Straight forward maths.  NO use arguing – that is a fact.

I wrote a blog about boxer Anthony Joshua and I read last week about his diet.  He consumes about 10,000 cals a day simply because he needs that much for the physical activity of boxing training.

Relate this to a car.  The fuel tank is filled with petrol.  Drive the car fast, crashing through the gears fast, and braking last minute and guess what the fuel runs out fast.  Drive steadily and braking softly and the fuel will go further.

When I began to work through my eating issues and really wanted to find a solution – everything became obvious.

My Bad Behaviours Were:

  • Eating quickly – often when working and not stopping for the meal
  • Always eating everything and never leaving anything on my plate
  • If there was a seconds available – having them
  • Eating too many snacks between meals that were high in calories.
  • Drinking wine regularly during the week.

Bad behaviours are learned behaviours.

My worked out solution – ongoing.

So my formula was ok on one side – I was exercising a reasonable amount – but not enough to use all of the calories coming in.

I had to learn new behaviours and get them set – into a new mindset.

The solution was not with the food I was eating.  That was actually ok apart from the amount of alcohol.

Here are the solutions that were right for me.

  • Eat slowly – you actually enjoy the tasting of the food longer AND you recognise faster that you are full
  • Learning to listen to my body – I realised when analysing things that I hated the feeling of being overfull.  Avoid that.
  • Reduced size portions – that fits with the eating slowly.  It takes longer to eat and you don’t feel as if it is a smaller amount
  • Leave food on the plate – and definitely not second portions.
  • In may case drinking only Friday evening till Sunday evening.
  • Avoid snacking between meals.  Not hard when your mindset is reset.

Hypnosis sessions were all around getting this new mindset to make all of those behaviour changes.   Hypnosis is focused imagination.  You see yourself with a new approach.  Quite simply it works.

Within a few days I was not even thinking about going to the fridge for a snack and so on.

I have really not changed anything in my diet.  I am simply eating less and don’t even realise it.

Some eight years now in a controlled way.

What about you?  You are the person that can change You – Your call.

New mindset.

Online Hypnotherapy Mindset – Include The Classroom Personality

Online Hypnotherapy Mindset – Include The Classroom Personality

What fun it is getting to grips with an online hypnotherapy mindset and putting classroom personality into courses.    Adam Eason has been teaching his hypnotherapy course for many years and he has actually trained many who have traveled many miles and at great expense to train with him.  The fact of the matter though is that most people can not do that or afford it.

SO – Time for change!

We are moving what a lot of us here in Bournemouth, UK are used to – classroom training – onto an online version.  We will still have classroom courses and seminars BUT the majority of our CPD training will be online.

So for some time – a couple of years – we have been preparing an alternative approach.  Many hours of videoing the classroom course – many many MANY hours.  That is all done and now we are in the early days of getting the message out there.  Where ever you live in the world you can join us and train with Adam and his team.

A new set of skills for Adam to grapple with – more interactivity online!  That is what I am after and what Adam is taking on so admirably.

It was great to see Adam Eason on Facebook Live – the spontaneity of it all – the fun – the wiggly camera – (we have to get a selfie tripod there etc.)   But as a marketing man, why it pleased me, was that  I know that this online engagement is just what we need to move and expose the personality of Adam – a characteristic charm that is so powerful in the classroom.  [He will blush when he reads this!]

Online Hypnotherapy Training.

The point is that those of you that have had the pleasure of attending hypnotherapy courses, seminars and workshops here with Adam will testify that the training is full on with the ultimate goal of sending out highly qualified, evidence based critical thinking hypnotherapists.   BUT it is done with excitement, passion and fun with a great trainer whose personality and trust you don’t forget.

This morning I have been e-mailing a guy (lets call him LA) in America about joining one of Adam’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs.   LA originally trained with two well known Hypnotherapists who I know Adam has a professional relationship with.  What an exciting person to have training with us.  Adam will be delighted to work with him.  We all learn from each other worldwide.

Why not?  Inclusive online training – and not Geo-located classrooms – are where anybody can access the courses with no additional traveling and accommodation costs.  And the choice of trainer is down to who you like.  The quality of the training, the testimonials given, the value of the training, the content of the course, the qualifications available etc can all be considered.  You are not restricted to some silly training down the road in a classroom just because it is close to you.

Furthermore – anyone joining the courses will have access to other students all over the world and they can get together to practice skills etc.  That is an eye opening thought.

I tell you I am really excited – because I know there is such a need for talking therapies for the mental health issues. Good training!

We need well qualified and educated therapists and research based training is available  – not necessarily just in a classroom – but at home on your computers, tablets and phones – WHERE-EVER YOU LIVE!

So What about Marketing Me?

My own thing is internet marketing – fascinating stuff but changing all the time.  Lifetime learning is absolutely the word in marketing, and the tools today will be archived next week.  I exaggerate but the point is I am in the same boat.

I am learning all I can a marketing guy in America who is the best I have come across anywhere in the world.

Just think what I am saying. I had the choice to train with the best I could find – from anywhere in the world.

Now his training is done using all sorts of online communication tools and the people inside are insiders – chatting, sharing, helping, and so on.  The teaching is there, run by a guy whose personality, integrity, involvement are so great.   Everything I am learning there I want to bring forward so that our online presence can be as prominent as our classroom presence has been in the past.

So that is what we are up to.  Putting ourselves about so that you get to know us.

HOWEVER…!!

There is one black cloud – and I will write about that in a day or so.  I have to be a bit careful and I will check with Adam before I say my piece online.  But there are people who are against online learning!

YES THERE ARE!

I am wanting to shout – how unfair is that BUT I will hold my tongue for now.

So that is something to watch out for.

Hypnotic Affiliates

Hypnotic Affiliates

Hypnotic Affiliates – that is what I am after.  Yes – maybe you!

A few years ago, I began to sell other peoples products online.  In fact I used to spend about 1 hour a day doing all the bits you have to do – and I made a great part time income.

Some affiliates make it a full time occupation and I know a lot of very successful affiliates.

I didn’t get that involved – but – what is actually weird (but great of course!!)  is that I am still getting cheques for sales that I made a decade ago for ongoing long term online services.

Products have not been my priority for some time now.

I have been involved with Adam Eason building up a training college for hypnotherapists.  To tell you the truth the college work has been an incredible task as we have videoed and prepared all of the materials and resources for online training.  Yep – hundreds of hours!!

So the poor old products have sat there on our online ‘Hypnosis For Download’ store – actually selling – but by accident rather than by design.

NOW that is changing – the college marketing is under way with all of our courses in place BUT also our products are back on our radar and are part of our marketing plans.

How best to sell self-hypnosis audios and videos and promote them – with affiliates.

The best affiliates out there are people who have been selling marketing products for online selling.  Great they are with huge mailing lists – and OF COURSE I will welcome those aboard – in fact GET IN TOUCH.

The best affiliates for us will be people who are hypnotherapists or people that have used the audios.  Selling is all about knowing your products.  BUT there is something much more important.   A great affiliate is a personality who gets to know his potential customers.

So a successful affiliate will be somebody who uses social media and blogging to build the list.  He/she then builds a mailing list using the opportunities and traffic building techniques guided by us – the merchant.

On the right hand side of this blog post (in the right hand column) you will see a ‘Hypnosis For Download’ Offer.  I have put that there as a demonstration to our current affiliates.  The offer there is totally alive and if you fill in your e-mail you will get instructions sent to you to get the half price products.

Our affiliates need to create their own blog if they haven’t got one to do just the same – but to write posts and articles/reviews about the products etc.

You may be saying I can’t write a blog.  There are services out there to get the articles written (more about that another day)

Anyway I say stop those excuses.  If you want to you can take an hour a day to come and learn with me – how to sell these (evergreen products) and get an additional income –

ALSO…

If you want to get some self-hypnosis audios at half price then fill in the form on the right.  You will also get a free gift of “Hypnosis Revealed” if you buy an audio.  This is a great way to get some knowledge about the products if you want to sell them.

I hope to see some of you on board.  There are videos and training material in the affiliates area.
