Obesity May Be A Huge Weight On Your Mind

Coincidences happen all the time and today was no exception.  I had just finished putting up a new landing page for Adam Eason’s product for Weight Control - AND – up popped a story on the BBC News website about a prisoner in America who is suing because of what he claims is a lack of food.  Since his arrest in September he has lost 7 stones on a 3000 calorie a day regime and is now a mere 22 stones.   Poor thing!

Now 3000 calories is higher than the daily recommended intake of 2500 for a male anyway.  So goodness knows how much he was eating before.

As a former nurse I am horrified by the statistics and the trends with obesity.  What is even more shocking to me is that this is viewed by many as normal.

The World Health Organization predicts there will be
2.3 billion overweight adults in the world by 2015 and more than 700
million of them will be obese.

Figures for 2005 show 1.6 billion adults were overweight and 400 million were obese.

The increase of convenience foods, labour-saving
devices, motorised transport and more sedentary jobs means people are
getting fatter.

One study, by market research firm Synovate, questioned 9,000 people in 13 countries across five continents.

Few people blamed their government for rising levels of
obesity: the largest number of respondents blamed the food that was now
available.

People in the UK and the US were the most likely to nominate “no self discipline” as the leading factor in obesity.

These two nations also had the most respondents who said they would be unable to give up fast food.

Some 45% in the UK agreed with the statement “I like the
taste of fast food too much to give it up”, while 44% of Americans said
they would be unable to give up their burgers, pizzas and chicken
wings.

I was listening to a radio broadcast the other day on this topic and I have to admit that the problem is a complex one.  There were so many reasons cited why poor communities are severely disadvantaged when it comes to keeping fit and healthy.  For example they often lack sports facilities or supermarkets but have a high level proportionally of fast food outlets.  Hmm – The KFCs and MacDonalds know their markets.

Then of course there is education which in many communities is predominantly through the good old telly where you will get the good and the bad.  I love cooking but I am really frustrated with the high proportion of TV chefs who with scant regard for any health issues cook their salt and cream laden courses week after week.

I won’t get on my high horse today about diets and will leave that topic for a real rant day.  Just to say that I believe diets contribute to the obesity problem rather than solve it.

There is only one way to maintain a stable body shape and that is to take in an amount of food  that provides the number of calories that you use.  Adds up doesn’t it.  It is a simple formula.  Therefore the more you do physically the more you can eat without harm.  Logical?

To achieve that though you have to have the right mindset.  If your subconscious is not supporting your efforts because it has been trained wrong – the only thing that can change things for you is to re-train your inner mind.

Enter hypnosis.  It has so been the answer for me.  Give it a try if you are struggling with your weight and get a weight off of your mind.  www.adam-eason.com/loseweight/

About Keith Watson

Hi - I am Keith Watson. This blog is dedicated to Banger - a teacher from my teenage years who - at least once a week - insisted upon cracking the hilarious - and I have to say - never heard before line "What's on Watson?". I would smile demurely - the rest of the class would fall about with sides aching - and life would go on for another week. 'Wats-on My Mind' I have decided will assist me personally as well as be of interest to others (I hope) who share my challenges. It will help keep me organised and document my activities so that I know what I did yesterday. You think I am joking!! I have been in the website development game since 1993 and have been involved with over 2000 website builds (with the help of my fantastic team of freelance programmers) It was only in the last two years though that I have moved over to making money for myself on line and in particular linking up with an amazing talent called Adam Eason to produce and distribute self help and hypnotherapy products. As a result of looking to promote these products I have downloaded hundreds of internet marketing articles and e-books, studied countless reports, tested list building tactics, butterflied, boot-camped, buzzed, adsensed, affiliated, met a jerk, jv'ed, plr given-awayed, and generally suffered from information overload. My computer - presumably in a fit of pique or simply demanding a holiday has given up the ghost on at least two occassions - causing me even more stress. Oh this simple business of making money online. BUT the great news is that it is all working and our list has grown - I have found some gurus I have complete faith in - and Adam and I are actually making money from our endeavours. Some way to go but I am more relaxed and can spot a phoney over hyped, sexed up, must have latest product which you must either buy or if not, simply fade into oblivion. There’s not room on this Internet for the two of us. This ramble of an introduction is really to set the scene for I am sure an interesting journey which I invite you to join. In fact I want you to help me find the right tools, scripts, plugins etc. etc, that will catapult me into the stratosphere of success. I hope you will be there with me. I don't just consider success in a monetary sense. I so want to help some friends of mine who are involved in Christian missionary work in some pretty harrowing parts of this world. If I can bring any help to their missions that will give me more satisfaction than anything else. I really, really do love this web stuff and the people you meet. I am convinced that this powerful technology can be harnessed to do some good.
